High Schools

As a high school guidance counselor, you get asked many questions about post-secondary education. And while you answer the questions to the best of your ability, the information keeps changing year over year. This can make your job more difficult and time consuming because it requires you to maintain up to date knowledge for all the students you look after. This is the exact reason why we host our high school tours. We want to help you help your students by bringing updated information directly to your high school. Our tours help answer questions surrounding post-secondary education and helps students understand about programs, tuition costs, campus life, sports, admissions, and more. We look forward to organizing a private event for you, your students, parents, and high school faculty.

    What you need to know

Once you are ready to move forward, register your high school to host us (see below). After you register, one of our event coordinators will reach out to you and confirm additional information about you, your students, and your high school. After we receive enough high school registrations, we will reach out again to confirm a date and time to come to your high school. Once the schedule is confirmed, we will provide you with a complete list of the colleges & universities who will be in attendance. We also provide you with a digital flyer to send to all students and to post on your high school website and social media channels for your families to see. Getting closer to the event, we will reach out once more to confirm everything we need to host a successful event at your high school.

All events begin with a 20-minute Q&A for your students. The Q&A session provides your students with information on applying to post-secondary and on international education. This is followed by an additional 10-minutes of presentations by specific colleges & universities we feel your students would benefit from hearing about. After all presentation have finished, we open up the event for students to walk around to the colleges and universities to ask additional follow-up questions and to collect more information. Most events usually last 2-3-hours, depending on your student population. At the end of the day, we have our guidance counselor networking dinner. This dinner provides you with an opportunity to connect with colleges and universities from all over the world. We encourage you to bring a colleague.

Please note: we ask all students to complete a registration form. This form helps us determine student interests and helps us navigate which colleges and universities we should bring for our next visit. The registration form also helps us provide students with information on programs they are interested in, scholarship opportunities, and other helpful information they should know when applying to an international post-secondary institution.
